CONSERVATION WORK MORNINGS (PCM) 10-1:30 P.M.

The program of events and Conservation Workdays for 2018 is as follows:

              

AUGUST

Sunday 19th: PCM run with the help of the Sheffield Council Ranger Service. Meet 10am at Baslow Road bus terminus. Refreshments, tools, etc. provided. Please wear strong footwear and appropriate clothing. All levels of help required and guidance given. Do also check our website at www.friendsofgillfieldwood.com – any late changes of venue will be published there. 

 

SEPTEMBER

Saturday 15th:Totley Show. Come and visit us at this year’s Totley Show and learn more of the conservation and the events past, present and future. The show starts at 1:30pm at Totley Primary School, Baslow Road.

 

Saturday 22nd: Walk Around Brown Edge. Join us for a walk around Brown Edge with archaeologist Stuart Nunn looking at things industrial and gaining an appreciation of the history of this area. We will be meeting in the lay-by off the Baslow Road (A621) and just down from the Peacock Inn at Owler Bar. This is an afternoon event starting at 1:30pm, the whole walk taking no more than 3 hours. Good walking shoes are recommended and sun protection if necessary.
