Could you help us save Sheffield’s Swifts by offering them a safe place to nest?

Swifts are incredibly clean visitors and cause no concern for mess, as they never touch ground & clean their own nests every year.

If you have boxed uPVC or timber soffits there are more options here.

NB. We don’t sell any products but we’ll happily advise you every step of the way.

What is a Swift Brick?

It’s a nest box which sits within the walls of a building. We love them- although a little more expensive to have fitted - they are in the building for life- which is priceless.
How is a Swift brick fitted?

A brick is removed and a matching Swift brick is slotted in it’s place. Swift bricks also give home to many
other small birds. To date, nine other species have been recorded using them. Wildlife can’t get beyond the nest chamber, and bricks don’t require any maintenance.
You or your builder can fit them, or Nestworks, can fit them for you. If you have scaffolding up it’s often the perfect opportunity to ‘stick in a brick’. We also hold neighbourhood fitting days throughout the year - savings can be made!
What next? Email us to arrange a home visit. We will advise the best location and quote within your budget. Min height required is 4.5 metres or 2 storeys. Swifts are colonial nesters, and prefer to nest close to one another, so fitting 2 or 3 bricks is ideal.
